NYFW FW25: Patience

This 1/1 cool-gray denim set blends texture, narrative, and subtle rebellion. Constructed from upcycled denim and overlaid with a custom TV-static print, the look contrasts visual distortion with clean, sculptural tailoring. A double-waistband structure, added grommets, and reverse-embroidered appliqué patches create dimension while reinforcing themes of resilience and reinterpretation. Hidden beneath lightly distressed panels is an unexpected layer of newspaper, further emphasizing the piece’s one-of-one identity.

Fit: Model is 5'8, Top (Medium), Bottoms (31/26)

Process: The denim was dyed to a cool gray tone, then screenprinted to achieve the static texture. Grommets were added by hand. The back panel of the jacket was cut and replaced with an appliqué sewn into the inner layer. Two denim panels in the jeans were distressed and backed with newspaper reinforced by denim before being sewn into place.
